Utopia

God is female - Nature herself

When four shepherds beg for a mate, she creates the first woman, Pandora

But the seven Planets are jealous, and take turns to revenge themselves on this new creation as she is pursued by the four love-struck men, causing misunderstandings and mayhem

In 2017, The Dolphin's Back revived and re-imagined its much praised 2014 production to play by candlelight in The Sam Wanamaker Playhouse:

Here's a word about The Woman in the Moon.

"The cast is scintillating and energetic... exemplary"
"A blast of nothing-but-fun... wonderful"

theatreboxblog
"James Wallace's lively production – ninety minutes of non-stop action – adds to Lyly's classical wit and word-play a winning blend of broad farce, physical high-jinks and wicked innuendo. Thus cleverly bringing a sixteenth-century rarity alive for a grateful modern audience"
